The EGLAVATOR is now an on-line accelerator but for many years was a 20K sq. ft. facility with 3D Printers, Data Center, Pitch Event area, and offices. 

I would like to highlight:  5 success stories, although many ventures are still existent and may become more stories.

I will point as examples:  POINTSKASH, GUIDENT, PRE-DATING/SPEED-DATING, MOTOR CITY MAD MOUTH, and MOBILITY WORKX,.

Let’s start with MOTOR CITY MAD MOUTH, Scott joined in 2023 and while at the EGLAVATOR we helped him writing a Book and, all those teachings enhanced his blog and Video podcast. He launched a Video and Audio PODCAST (Search: Scott Morganroth) with over 1.2M views on Youtube – South Florida Tribune.  Besides Scott’s is a success.  There were a lot  more stories that happened around the EGLAVATOR in so many years of service that were derived from the EGLAVATOR community!  

Our investment and startup philosophy is simple:

First: Business  monetization and capitalization is fundamental, selling is a priority, get first adopters, understand customer acquisition — generating revenues, be hungry to get that balance sheet in green. Second: pitching and making stories. Pitch to deliver a clear message: how your idea or technology makes money and what’s your profits. Third:  Prepare a  great management team,  and understand that you need to create a system. Your startup is NOT about you, it is about making money, and your TEAM!. Fourth:  Leverage your IP as licensing and royalty income, buy or license IP from other failing ventures, accelerate GO TO Market.

POINTSKASH

PointsKash is a U.S.-based fintech company that operates a platform and network of kiosks (called KashPoint) to help people convert loyalty/rewards points from various programs into cash or other usable value. (See their website) with a $5.3 Billon dollar valuation.

Key Features and Services

• Loyalty Points to Cash: Its core offering lets users aggregate points from multiple loyalty programs and redeem them for cash, cryptocurrency, debit cards (e.g., via partnerships like Discover), or other spending options.
• Kiosks and App: Physical KashPoint kiosks in retail locations across the U.S. provide ATM services, check cashing, bill payments, money transfers, microloans, crypto buying/selling, and event ticketing. A companion mobile app offers similar digital services.
• Target Audience: It focuses on financial inclusion, especially for underbanked Americans, combining traditional banking services with blockchain technology for transparency and rewards handling.

Background

• Founded around 2020 by former Wall Street executives (originally led by Steve Janjic).
• Headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.
• It uses blockchain (e.g., Algorand in earlier stages) and has partnerships with payments providers like Paysafe.
• The company is FinCEN-registered and continues to expand its kiosk network and app features as of 2026.

 

GUIDENT

Guident (often stylized as GUIDENT) is a technology company specializing in software solutions for autonomous vehicles (AVs) and robots.   IPO soon for around $40M

Key Details:

• Headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, it was founded in 2020.
• It develops and operates a Remote Monitor and Control Center (RMCC) platform that uses AI, human-in-the-loop teleoperation, and ultra-low-latency video streaming to enhance the safety, uptime, and reliability of self-driving vehicles and autonomous robots.
• Their patented technology provides Teleoperation as a Service (TaaS), allowing remote operators to monitor and intervene in real time when needed, while supporting multi-network connectivity (including satellite) for robust coverage.

Core Focus:

Guident aims to accelerate the safe adoption of autonomous vehicles by providing fleet operators and manufacturers with tools for remote oversight, AI-driven safety monitoring, and compliance. They work with public transportation (e.g., autonomous shuttles in Florida cities like Boca Raton), delivery robots, and other AV applications.  They also have a robot, made by Star Robotics, that delivers video and audio content and walks around the BRICs building today. 

The company has expanded its patent portfolio globally and partners with entities like universities and AV hardware providers. It has also filed for an IPO.

We met with Harald and Sumi Helal several times at MWC, just in March 2026, we met in Barcelona.

PREDATING & SPEED DATING

Lead by Dan’s wife and himself, Dan Gudema. Dan is a frequent, co-host at the TECHEDTV Podcast. I saw how DAN and his wife took a company in really bad shape to be featured at MEDIA and other media outlets.

This is speed dating, a matchup strategy that first became popular in the 1990s. Recently, it’s made a quiet resurgence. For some Madison singles, it’s a reprieve from the monotony and lack of success they’ve had with online dating and trying to meet other singles in “the wild,” also known as everyday life. 

How he was working for his other venture, SEO TURBOBOOSTER and STARTUP POP, with revenues in the north of $2M per year.

Pre-Dating (or Pre-Dating Speed Dating) is the world’s largest and oldest speed dating service company in the US, operating since 2001.

It organizes in-person speed dating events for busy single professionals, typically featuring short “pre-dates” (around 6 minutes each) in upscale venues across 90+ cities in the US and Canada. Events are age-grouped (e.g., 20s-30s, 40s-50s, 50s/60s+) and focus on efficient, facPe-to-face matchmaking rather than apps. They also run related singles events like Lock and Key parties.

ACADEMIC SERVICE AND VOLUNTEERING

I work with several organizations as a volunteer including HONDURAS GLOBAL as part of the Board, and Florida Atlantic University also a Advisory Board Member, and assistance as Editorial Board of the Journal of Networks and Systems Management, and many conferences where I work as part of “Technical Program Committees”
