BlackBerry RIM
Interesting, I wonder why were so many litigation efforts attacking RIM/BlackBerry’s IP in the US…? many attempts to shut down their service, etc. You may find more details on this at:Article at the Economist.com I might be biassed and I’m not saying that MSFT might have pushed this case forward but now it’s seen a Blackberry’s competitor:Microsoft sends a message
Wal-Mart to Open About 1,500 New Stores – Yahoo! News
Wal-Mart to Open About 1,500 New Stores – Yahoo! News A logistics nightmare, not if you created a “system” a self-sustainable and scalable money-making-machine, Wal-Mart. Wal-mart’s expansions covers China, South America, they have not done well in Europe (bad stigma), but in general Wal-mart dominates Chinese Exports and controls global market prices in many products, including innovating technologies as RFID.

Slashdot | Verizon Threatens Google’s ‘Free Lunch’ How will this be technically achieved then? If I am an ISP I charge Google for all the content they will deliver? Costa Rican Elections. & Latin American Politics
Costa Rica goes today to the polls and elect a new president Nacion.com. All seems that “Partido Liberacion Nacional,” PLN or National Liberation Party, a Social-Democrat organization, leads the polls and ex-president (peace nobel laurate) Oscar Arias Sanchez will replace Pacheco. Incredibly enough, in th US there is a Social Democrat party. A red rose held in a closed fist

DEI – Departamento Ecumenico de Investigaciones
When I lived in Costa Rica, 1991-1995, I made a lot of friends at DEI. The Reaearch Ecumenic Department deals with social and theological issues focussing on Latinamerica. My dad even published a book when He was working there :My dads’s book …. Back in 1993, I was called by them to fix a “computer problem,” it seems their IT

On a totally different note
There is nothing I like the most, but a rainy day at home, while looking outside and listening to some Smooth Jazz drinking a cup of black coffee… maybe reading a book or the web, and doing some sort of intellectual activity like programming or designing a new invention. ……. 😉 BTW, if you want to make me happy, get

WWII Family Stories.
I’ve been always intrigued by my Grandfather’s past…. I knew he was a sailor and later on a business man in the coffee industry. I also heard many stories about his sons and daughters, the names he picked for them, and many interesting things about him. As a sailor, he was a part of the crew of the SS “Francis

If you didn’t know, Honduras has 4 intl airports… San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa, Ceiba, and Roatan. Even though, InterAirports has been moving really slow in the “modernization” of all Honduran terminas, I do think they did a good job w/ Goloson in Ceiba, ..I want to see more flights Miami-Ceiba, or even FLL-Ceiba, soon.

Thoughts on Love
Love is the most illogical, not-amking-any sense thing I have encounter in life… but wait, I have a contradictory argument. Why do you love your parents, siblings? Why do you love your pets? They care for you and you care for them…. That type of love sounds logical, the same thing with a sport, politics, you love and play the
Saturday
Finally on “vacation”….. well, I have to attend a conf call, and go to work next Friday and sign some patent paperwork for Moto, other than that, I will be mostly working on my house projects and some other interesting things I have had in mind. I am currently listening to Smooth Jazz. As you may already know I am
About to go on Vacation
Finally, in years I will take a couple of weeks, not days, off…. I will spend it all with my family. Hopefully I can also achieve something productive, not-work-related 😉 My ultra-sparc is working well, I am currently using JDE (Java Development Environment). Last night, I went to Motorola’s Xmas party – it was not that great, but well, things

Scientists Speak Up on Mix of God and Science – New York Times
Could a good scientist believe in God My answer is YES…. why not? Do you believe in your mother when she says everything is going to be OK, even though you know it might not be? Of course you do, because there is faith in that being that gave you life. God is inherently the creator of life, the father

Politics and Church
I just can’t understand why the Christian church in the US is politicized to “Take out” to “Blow up” to do all kinds of non-Christian things. Just because they think a goverment is not what they want. Check this out: Pat Robertson Calling for Chavez Assasination…. yes Kill him, in the name of God… Jesus said: “Love thy neighbor as
